12/09/2010 PCN for the MX945GSE3 reflecting a component change. Winbond W83627DHG‐A rev. FAC will be added to the BOM and will be phased-in sometime around mid-2011. This component change will also require BIOS 1.02 to be used. [Download Notice]
10/21/2010 PCN for the MX965GME mini ITX industrial motherboard.  This change is designed to make the MX965GME more compatible with reading the fan speed of various fans the market today. [Download Notice]
09/27/2010 PCN for the BC945G ATX industrial motherboard.  This change adds support for the Pentium® E2xxx 800MHz FSB processor series. [Download Notice]
09/09/2010 PCN for the MX45GM Mini ITX motherboard.  The change is a PWA modification adjusting some resistor settings to improve compatibility with the various memory modules in the market specifically for the 667MHz frequency.  This change does not impact any regulatory certification.  [Download Notice]
08/16/2010 PCN for the MX45GM2 Mini ITX motherboard. This PCN indicates changing the compact flash socket to a low type from 8.6mm to 5.6mm allowing the MX45GM2 to be more compatible with standard Mini ITX chassis and mechanical enclosures. [Download Notice]
08/16/2010 PCN for the RX945GC uATX motherboard.  This change has been implemented to add support for the Intel Pentium® E2xxx series with 800MHz FSB CPU. [Download Notice]
07/08/2010 PCN for the PPC19-45GM Panel PC enhancing its user friendliness for both system integration as well as end-user usability. [Download Notice]
06/03/2010 PCN for the MX45GM Mini ITX motherboard.  This PCN makes permanent in the PCB a previous component modification to improve the reliability of the MX45GM motherboard returning to a power-on ready state after a sudden loss of power and resumption of power within a short interval that is currently shipping today.  

This change has been thoroughly evaluated to ensure there are no quality, reliability, functional, or driver implications to our customers.   BCM is not recommending customers to perform additional qualification of these changes.

The MX45GM is a small form factor, high performance, industrial motherboard designed with an Intel® Socket P and the Mobile Intel® GM45/ICH9M-E Chipsets architecture. The Socket P supports Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme, Core™ 2 Quad and 45nm Core™ 2 Duo processors with Front Side Bus speed from 667, 800 and 1066 MHz. The Intel® GM45 chipset integrates the Intel® GMA 4500MHD Graphics Engine delivering Blu-ray capable HD video playback and high resolution 3D graphics with dual display capable configuration via HDMI, DVI, LVDS and VGA outputs.

The MX45GM supports Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 and Intel® Active Management Technology (iAMT) 4.0. The TPM feature provides the functions of hard drive encryption enhancing security protection. The Intel® Active Management Technology makes it easier for IT technicians to maintain, repair or upgrade the computer through network communications from the remote locations at any time even if the computer is turned off.

06/01/2010 PCN for the RX35Q Micro ATX motherboard:
  • BIOS PCN: This notice is to inform you of a pending BIOS change for the RX35Q.  This BIOS change involves updating the CPU micro code in the BIOS to support the latest CPUs released that compatible with the Q35 chipset. 
  • Hardware PCN: This notice is to inform you of a pending component value to change to make the RX35Q compatible with a broader range of power supplies.

04/28/2010 PCN for the RX945G Micro ATX motherboard changing the audio Codec from ALC882 to ALC888 due to component change from the manufacturer.  This change will not impact the BIOS but will have driver implications.  For customers using Microsoft® Windows® OS, BCM recommends updating audio driver to version R1.60 or above. It is recommended that customers evaluate this new hardware change to ensure smooth transition. [Download Notice]

04/05/2010 PCN for the MX45GM Mini ITX motherboard - BIOS change in order to address an intermittent error when either the VGA or DVI is hot-plugged into the unit as reported from the field.  This change will be a running change effective in one of the near-term production batches. [Download Notice]

03/29/2010 PCN for the NX530Z Nano ITX motherboard - enabling the 2nd onboard COM port.  This hardware change will have no impact on the current BIOS or O/S drivers. [Download Notice]

03/04/2010 BIOS PCN notice for the MX945GM-D2 Mini ITX motherboard. BIOS is updated to add additional CPU support. [Download Notice]

02/12/2010 PCN notice for the BCM RX965QV Micro ATX motherboard.  This is a very minor hardware change shortening the pins on a jumper located in front of a PCI slot to avoid possible mechanical conflicts with some PCI cards.  This change will no effect the quality, reliability, functionality, or driver requirements of the RX965QV motherboard. 01/25/2010 BIOS PCN notice for the RX35Q industrial uATX motherboard. This BIOS update corrects compatibility issues with some PCIe x 16 video cards as reported to BCM by some customers.  [Download Notice]
