The MX67QM and MX67QMD Mini ITX small form factor industrial motherboards are designed with the Intel® QM67 Express Chipset.  These two platforms support 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7 and Core™ i5 processors and are ideal for many embedded market segments. The main difference between these two small form factor industrial motherboards is the operating power. The MX67QM uses ATX power and the MX67QMD uses wide range DC power input ranging from 12-24V. 

The 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family and the Intel® Q67/QM67 chipsets provide multiple advanced technologies required by current and future industrial embedded computing applications requiring better performance, security and management. The combination of integrated memory and processor graphics delivers the performance needed for display applications like digital signage, medical systems, and industrial automation while also enabling smaller and more compact designs like the Mini ITX form factor.

BCM introduces its new UL/FCC/CE certified industrial barebones BI355-67QM equipped with Intel® Mobile QM67 platform supporting 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors with 5 COM and 8 USB external ports

Last month BCM Advanced Research announced its MX67QM industrial mini ITX motherboard based on the Intel® Mobile QM67platfrom. Today we are announcing that we have successfully certified for UL/FCC/CE the MX67QM in an industrial barebones computer, the BI355-67QM creating the ideal building-block platform for VAR, system integrators, and OEMs looking to reduce cost, engineering resources, and time to market for their new products.

The BI355-67QM is a compact design measuring 8” L x 9.3” W x 4.4” H and weighing approximately 7.5 pounds. This fully certified industrial barebones features rich external I/O interfaces including five COM ports, eight USB 2.0, HDMI, DVI, VGA, PS/2 KB/Mouse, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and line-in, line-out and mic-in HD audio jacks. The BI355-67QM supports one PCI Express x16 via an optional riser card, one internal Mini PCI Express x1, a compact flash socket and a 2.5 inch HDD drive bay. The HDD access door is located at the bottom of the system offering a user friendly design and providing quick and easy accessibility for installing or removing the hard drive for upgrade or maintenance purposes....

BCM’s Intel® QM67 Mini ITX Motherboard supports 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors supporting Multi-Display Capabilities

TBCM Advanced Research (BCM), a leading design manufacturer of industrial motherboards and systems, has stock of its MX67QM Intel® Sandy Bridge Mini ITX motherboard. The MX67QM is equipped with Intel® Mobile QM67 chipset and socket G supporting the second generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors and providing outstanding system performance with multi-monitor capabilities.

The Sandy Bridge platform is based on the new 32nm micro architecture from integrating the processor, graphic engine and memory controller into one single chip. Coupled with the Intel® QM67 chipset enables the MX67QM to deliver enhanced performance while improving lower power consumption in a small form factor. The board supports high definition video outputs including HDMI, DVI-D, LVDS and VGA. Through the onboard dual display feature, an additional PCIe compatible graphic card can be activated via the onboard PCIe x16 slot to support the 3rd and 4th display.

BCM Advanced Research Announces industrial motherboard platforms based on the new Intel® Q67 chipset and Intel® QM67 Express chipset

TIrvine, California, January 5, 2011 – BCM Advanced Research, an Intel® Embedded Alliance Associate member and a leading supplier of industrial motherboards and systems, is pleased to announced the launch of three industrial motherboards based on the Intel® Q67 chipset and Intel® QM67 Express chipset and the recently announced 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor family.

The MX67QM and MX67QMD Mini ITX small form factor industrial motherboards are designed with the Intel® QM67 Express Chipset. These two platforms support 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7 and Core™ i5 processors and are ideal for many embedded market segments. 04/02/2013 PCN for the MX67QM and MX67QM-D pertaining to encasing the battery to ensure no loose connection due to vibration or accidental contact with the battery holder. This is a preventive measure put in place due to customer feedback.

The change pertains to the JMicron part# JMB368 PATA host controller announced end of life.  JMicron has entered into an agreement authorizing InnoDisk to continue to manufacturer and support the chip JMB368 chip under the new InnoDisk part number IDB368 and the BCM PCN is to inform you the IDB368 part has been added to the approved vendor list for the above products and anticipated phase-in September 2013.

07/12/2012 PCNs for the MX67QMD and MX67QM pertaining to changing the COM port default jumper setting to 5V and changing the cable accessories to be more convenient for a broader range of chassis and enclosures.  These changes have been made based on customer feedback and should have a positive effect on your experience with these BCM products.
