BCM, a global embedded solution provider and an associate member of the Intel® IoT Solutions Alliance, introduces its new 10.1 inch semi-rugged tablet targeted for qualifying OEMs, the RiTab-10T1. The RiTab-10T1 is a semi-rugged, extended lifecycle tablet computer which delivers high quality, sleek design, ultra-mobility, yet with an attractive price point not seen in the typical tablet offerings serving the industrial/embedded market.

| Rich I/O and Data Collecting Methods |
The RiTab-10T1 10 inch semi-rugged tablet provides various integrated options. It comes standard with USB 2.0 Type A, micro SD slot, micro HDMI output, micro SIM card slot, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0 dual mode, NFC and 5MP rear camera. These standard features give users diverse ways to connect to the world, either through transmitting data to others or receiving information. Optional data collecting methods include an integrated barcode scanner that supports 1D, PDF417 and 2D bar codes, MSR and SCR with encryption algorithms to enhance secure processing of data collection.

| Rugged, Light-Weighed Design with Seamless Working Hour |
The RiTab-10T1 is a certified IP-54 and MIL-STD-810G device designed for commercial applications and to withstand commercial environments. Th RiTab-10T1 has undergone rigorous testing for shock and vibration including passing 4-feet drop-testing on a concrete floor. This semi-rugged design is ideal for applications such as restaurants, warehousing, retail shop floors, inventory management, training or schooling, Bingo, medical environments, or wherever tablet functionality and mobility are required in a commercial setting or application.
For mobility, the battery designed for the RiTab-10T1 is optimized to up to 8 working hours. Once the battery runs low, users can hot-swap the battery without interrupting the workflow through its hot-swap battery feature. For battery changing, we offer a charging station that can charge up to 4 batteries at the same time.
The RiTab-10T1 weighs approximately 1KG putting it in the feather weight class when compared to typical embedded or semi-rugged table devices available today. The light weight and long life battery makes the RiTab-10T1 the new standard to beat highlighted by its winning the 2016 iF Design Award (Product Category) in Munich on Frebruary26th.

Not only RiTab-10T1 itself is designed to ensure the users friendliness, its optional accessories are also designed to cater to user’s needs. The cradle is designed to easily transform the tablet into a desktop computer to meet different requirements. The cradle acts as a stand for the tablet as well as a charging station guaranteeing users to have a charged portable device when needed. The cradle provides DC input port, 1 RJ45 and 4 USB 2.0.
For holding the tablet, the RiTab-101 provides two ergonomic options including a hand strap or mushroom handle according to the user’s preference.
