BCM has announced production release of its MX3350N Apollo Lake mini-ITX motherboard featuring the onboard 7th Gen 14nm Intel Celeron N3350 CPU ideal for Medical/POS/Kiosk/Retail/ATM/Casino Industries

BCM announces its new MX3350N thin mini-ITX motherboard has been released for production and is now available in sample quantities.  This motherboard provides higher performance, richer I/O interfaces, and a low power, fanless, hardware design. Additionally, the MX3350N supports three independent displays, is optimized for 4K video output,  and dual M.2 sockets for storage and wireless connectivity flexibility. The MX3350N is targeted as a quick time-to-market solution for entry-level to mid-level applications that require optimized computing performance with good graphics support, slim profile, and low TDP.

  • Design based on Intel’s newest 14nm Celeron N3350 SoC platform, codenamed Apollo Lake

The MX3350 mini-ITX motherboard is an ideal solution for applications such as medical instrumentation, digital signage, HMI applications, kiosks, diagnostic equipment, industrial automation, video conferencing, and retail transaction equipment that require low power, fanless operation, and the ability to operate in a thin enclosure. It is also ideal for applications that require multiple display outputs such as digital systems with multiple user display input and output requirements.

Case Story

International company A is looking for a replacement motherboard for upgrading their current POS system to support a secondary digital signage application. They are looking for a thin, fanless, small form factor Intel platform motherboard, optimized for intensive 4k graphic performance for their signage requirements, but with adequate USB and serial ports for the primary POS system requirements. BCM proposed its new MX3350N mini-ITX motherboard that supports multiple 4K video outputs but also supplies generous legacy I/O such as serial ports. The MX3350N was the perfect solution for their application in terms of modern feature support combined with compatibility with legacy devices such as serial based scanners, printers, or cash drawers.
