BCM Advanced Research, a member of the Intel® Embedded Alliance, officially announces the release of our MX45GM2 industrial Mini ITX motherboard as a standard product due to market demand for a high performance, small form factor, long-life industrial motherboard with traditional ATX power support.  

The MX45GM2 is identical to the current DC powered MX45GM Mini ITX motherboard in terms of features, I/O, and layout with the exception of  operating via ATX power supplies.  The MX45GM2 delivers the same outstanding performance as the MX45GM but with a reduction in cost by removing the DC power circuitry.

The MX45GM2 is based on Intel® Montevina platform – Intel® Mobile GM45 Express chipset and socket P supporting the Intel® 45nm Core™ 2 Duo processors with 667/800/1066 MHz Front Side Bus.  This board covers majority of features required for the embedded multimedia applications such as interactive Kiosks, gaming Kiosks, interactive ATM terminals, high-end digital signage systems to name a few.   The MX45GM2 provides the integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD supporting DirectX 10, Intel® Clear Video technology, 2D/3D/Blue-ray capable HD video playback, and versatile dual display via onboard HDMI, LVDS, DVI and VGA graphic outputs. The board also supports dual 10/100/1000 LAN ports delivering Gigabit data transactions.  The rich onboard I/O connectors and expansion slots include four SATA, five serial ports, eight USB 2.0, 16-bit GPIO, one PCI slot, one PCI Express x1, one Mini PCI Express, and one Compact Flash socket.

The MX45GM2 offers built-in Intel® Active Management Technology 4.0 (Intel® AMT 4.0) enabling remote management capability for IT specialist to perform instant maintenance in order to shorten the system down time and save the cost of on-site repair.  The Infineon Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM 1.2) is supported for secure data protection.  The MX45GM2 also supports Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (Intel® TXT), a versatile set of hardware extensions to Intel® processors and chipsets that enhance the platform with security capabilities, providing hardware-based mechanisms that help protect against software-based attacks and protects the confidentiality and integrity of data stored or created on the system.  The above features are special benefits for enterprise, banking, gaming, and financial related applications.
