The MX45GM is designed with an Intel® Socket P and the Mobile Intel® GM45/ICH9M-E Chipsets architecture. The Socket P supports Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme, Core™ 2 Quad and 45nm Core™ 2 Duo processors with Front Side Bus speed from 667, 800 and 1066 MHz. The Intel® GM45 chipset integrates the Intel® GMA 4500MHD Graphics Engine delivering Blu-ray capable HD video playback and high resolution 3D graphics with dual display capable configuration via HDMI, DVI, LVDS and VGA outputs. The Intel® GMA 4500MHD also delivers Intel® Clear Video Technology quality graphics and video including sharper image, increased clarity and customizable color controls especially for high-end imaging-focused applications.

The combination of these architectures provide high system and graphics performances utilizing fast bandwidth to handle massive computing and visualization workloads. The MX45GM is perfect for running cutting-edge embedded applications in Kiosk, POS, gaming, medical and entertainment machines.

Rich I/O and Expansion Interfaces
In addition to the high-performance onboard video outputs, the MX45GM also features other rich I/O and expansion interfaces including an onboard DC-in connector, eight USB 2.0, four SATA connectors, five COM ports, a 16-bit GPIO header, one PCI, one PCI Express x1, one Mini PCI Express and one Compact Flash socket.  The built-in onboard DC-in connector enables the system to operate with 19 volt DC power via an external AC to DC adapter. This benefits the small form factor design for space-constrained enclosures. The rich expansions slots enhance the system to support additional features through add-on cards including graphics, Ethernet and WiFi interfaces.  The Compact Flash socket provides onboard storage up to 64 GB capacity. Comparing to the external hard drives, the onboard storage feature is perfect for small footprint system that requires more secure and stable data transactions with small amounts of storage space. These types of applications include medical devices, gaming machines, Kiosk, ATM and POS.

The MX45GM offers dual LAN ports which enable Gigabit Ethernet communications. The board also support up to eight channel high-definition digital audio through Line-out, Line-in, Mic-in and SPDIF headers.

Security (TPM 1.2) and Smart Management Technology (iAMT 4.0)
The MX45GM supports Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 and Intel® Active Management Technology (iAMT) 4.0. The TPM feature provides the functions of hard drive encryption enhancing security protection. The Intel® Active Management Technology makes it easier for IT technicians to maintain, repair or upgrade the computer through network communications from the remote locations at any time even if the computer is turned off. This technology decrease system downtime and saves the time and cost of field maintenance.
