BCM introduces RiPac-10P1, the 10” all-in-one mini-POS solution with 5” adjustable 2nd display and thermal receipt printer targeting for IoT smart retail business

BCM, a global embedded solution provider and an associate member of Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance, introduces its new product, the RiPac-10P1, an Intel Atom quad-core platform based mini-POS system bringing a brand new retail solution to our global partners. 

The RiPac-10P1 measures only 11.77" L x 12.45" W x 5.86" H and weight approximately 6.7 pounds.  It is an all-in-one mini-POS system featuring a full flat 10.1” main display, an adjustable 5” secondary display for customer, a built-in NFC reader compliant with RFID/Felica, an integrated thermal printer with pain-free paper roll load, as well as rich I/O ports to meet the demands for further connectivity. This mini-POS system provides the most essential features as a POS terminal in a small form factor, it is an optimal choice for use in applications including hospitality, retail, ticketing, queue management and places where space is limited.
 
Optimized Performance with Trustworthy Stability

The RiPac-10P1 is powered by the Intel Atom Z3735F processor, which is known for its optimized performance, stability and enabling fanless system design. This processor is widely used in many of the mobile computing devices today. For OS support, the RiPac-10P1 mini-POS supports multiple operation systems including Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Linux and Android.
 
Aesthetic and Ergonomic Design

The RiPac-10P1 mini-POS breaks the tradition industrial POS terminal design by given with a sleek and sophisticated appearance with elegant finish on the surface. The design also eliminates the need of mounting stand while still providing built-in 2nd display and receipt printer making the entire system ideal for retailers where space is limited.

The RiPac-10P1 mini-POS has a full flat 10.1” LCD with PCT as the main display and a 5” adjustable 2nd screen to guarantee the best and most considerable viewing angle for the customers. Having its I/O situated at the bottom of the machine, security of the connectors and cable management can be easily achieved, keeping the counter as tidy as possible.

Essential I/O Arrangement

The RiPac-10P1 provides 2 x RS-232 DB9 serial port, 1 x RJ11 for cash drawer, 1 x RJ45 and 4 x full speed USB 2.0. The system also integrates a NFC reader compliant with RFID and Felica device.  Besides, the system provides a built-in auto cut 58/80mm thermal printer with features of paper roll loaded in three seconds. The easy accessible printer module design allows users to easily replace the defective part while needed, which helps saving the cost and time for sending back to the manufacturer for technical support.
