MX3160N mini-ITX motherboard is designed with the latest Intel® Celeron® processor N3160 SoC. The board provides our OEM and ODM embedded customers in the gaming, medical, and retail industries with quad-core CPU performance, exceptional Gen 8 HD Graphics supporting up to 4K resolution with up to three independent displays, and an industry leading low power consumption to performance ratio. The new Intel® Celeron® processor N3000 product family is built on Intel’s 14nm technology, and based on the 64-bit Airmont processor architecture. The processor transforms display-oriented devices with twice the graphics performance and with simplified integration when compared to the previous generation, offering a low thermal solution and a new standard for smart computing power at the right price.

10/05/2022 REVISED Multi-product PCN for phasing out the Intel® I211 Ethernet Controller and phasing in the Intel® I210 Ethernet Controller. Please note there were hardware (H/W) revision inconsistencies with the previous notification sent on September 28, 2022. BCM apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.

12/14/2020 Multi-product change notice (PCN) to replace the audio codec on a significant number of BCM motherboards due to an end of life notification from the audio codec manufacturer. This change will involve both a BOM change (adding the replacement audio codec to the bill of materials) as well as a BIOS update to support the new audio codec.

05/28/2019 MX3160N product change notice (PCN) for the standard shipping BIOS. This BIOS addresses issue with display connectivity, adds different display configuration options, and addresses a compatibility issue with WiFi add-on cards.

These changes include firmware updates for the LVDS and USB 3.0 to enhance compatibility with a greater range of displays and peripherals as well has updating the package and labeling to comply with the latest regulatory requirements.
